VF160 New HardDrive

After 2 1/2 solid years, my VF160 is still running beautifully. But I was in Staples and saw a Maxtor Diamond Max Plus (60gig, 7200rpm, Ultra ATA/133, 2mb buffer, 9.3ms seek time). It was $44.00 so I picked it up with a 14-day return policy.

I'm just keeping this aside for a rainy day, but does anyone know if this drive will work with my VF160? I'm running version 2.03 software.

Great! So, apart from the size (80gig vs. 60gig) difference, are all the other specs on your drive similar to what I posted about mine? Also, what's your experience been with using the new drive with your VF160? Extra heat? More or less noise? Better/worse performance? Anything?

The new drive has worked great. It took about 15 hours to format.
It was a tight fit, so I had to put some washers on the screws under the cover to give me a little more room.
