mic distortion
hi there.
i have been giving alot of listen to beck lately. i noticed he uses something on his voicals like a distortion or fuzzbox. well my question is HOW DO YOU GET THAT EFFECT must i put my vocals down and then edit in sonar or cubase. thank you

there's a ton of ways. You're in the mic forum so you might not get software answers... Re-amping, preamp overdrive, fuzz boxes, your distortion can come from anywhere you clip, but usually in anlog gear. By now there's gotta be a plug-in called, "warm tubey fuzzy distortion." Just guessing....
