does anyone know this vintage mic: MB elektronik 201

well, i found this mic in a box full with old cables and some other weird mics,
i was never able to test it since its got a mini XLR connection,
but today i thought, hey, thats the same connection as one of my md421's,
i took the red cable, connected it and it ...kinda worked,
i have an extreme weak signal, when i tough the mic you can hear my fingers "touch the mic" pretty loud, but when i talk in it, its or very silent or very distorted, i think the mic died...

i wasn't able to find any information on this mic or even from this company: MB ELEKTRONIK on internet,

maybe one of you guys knows something about it, any info would be cool,

its a dynamic cardioid, thats what it says on the box,
50-18.000 hz, thats nice, too bad it doesn't work,
no way this mic can be repaired?

and here's some pictures of the thing:

First thing you need to do is rewire the connections between Pin 1 and Pin 2. Pin 1 should be the shield and Pin 2 should be one of the coil leads.

ok, but then i'll buy me another mini xlr connector and make me a new wire,

ps, something i didn't read in your huge post about mics,

why do some of the md421's work with a 1/4" TS connector?
whats the use of putting an unbalanced cable on such a great mic,
and in what kind of preamp do you put that cable?
in the line input of your mixer?
