2 walls. one with window. one with no window. put drums under window? or on non-window wall.

My guess would be the wall with no window as the sound reflecting off the glass could be a problem. On the other hand you never can tell, experiment.

someone has a preference.

plus the window wont be bare. neither will the wall. the window will have the thickest curtain-like fabric I can find. the wall will have one 2" panel behind the kit if the kit is there.

Put the drums in the center of the room, with the front of the bass faceing the solid wall, keep as much space as possible around the drums in all dirrections. For what it's worth, drums sound better in rooms with high celings.

cool yeah i thought about that for tracking. I should have mentioned that the whole band is in here and I will be recording practices.... so if you had those two options...

uuuuh no! this will cause the most problems with modes arriving at the center of the room at the same time. place them on the short wall of the room, off center. yes, a high ceiling is good, but, if your ceiling is angled, it is better to have the drums at the short end.....

the room has no "short wall". those are the only two walls. im not kidding.
