Mic question..

I'm looking for a mic that will fit a mid range voice.. Maybe a mic with a dark/colored sound to it. i'm runnin it through a M-audio MobilePre preamp

Budget - $200 - 300

Oktava MK319. Look for an older one made in Russia. I know the Chinese are building counterfeit MC012's, so I don't doubt the Chinese MK319 will also show up.-Richie

ive had a lot of luck with any of the mxl series.

i also have a mobliepre and I use a studioprojects b1 mic sounds great u might want to take a step up though

^I've heard nothing but bad stuff about behringer products

The NT1a and AT3035 are both perfectly usable cheap condensers, but I wouldn't call either of them "dark/colored". I'd call them "bright/colored". If I wanted that sound, (and sometimes I do)- I'd save some money and buy a Studio Projects B-1.-Richie

rap mic

The GT-55 works well on some rappers, about 200.00 also the mxl-V67 or as stated by rich the mk-319 is good.
