Hey, folks:
I see what ya'll mean about the VS documentation (not that I didn't notice it up front). Seems they fail to mention the Attenuation dial for getting a sufficiently "hot" signal for vocals. Had to do an impromptu demo for a dude and spent a lot of time fixing the low recorded level. Any cool techniques, recommended mics, etc. for recording great vocals on the VS? Thanks, jeff

I have owned a VS-880 EX since 12/98.The biggest single improvement in the sound of my recordings on it came when I stopped using the analog channel inputs and bought an analog to digital converter which I now use hooked up to the S/PDIF input on the 880.Running a close second in level of improvement was the acquisition of an Audix CX-101 large diaphragm condenser mic and an ART Tube PAC preamp.
