PorticoTM 5012 Duo Mic Pre

I'm looking at this new Rupert Neve dual channel pre for only $1440.00. Thats a hell of a deal for 2 channels of Neve pres. Has anyone one heard or used this unit. I was about to drop $1800.00 on an A-design pre, now I'm thinking this is the way to go. What say you?

They just started shipping and most dealers don't even stock them yet. I would say there are probably less than 100 units out there right now. There are a few good reports however, one from a buy at gearslutz.com.

His opinion is that is rivals the 1073 and is really a top notch sound.

Well I just bit the bullet and ordered me one I'll give you guys a report when I get it and maybe post some samples.

They have a matching dual compressor coming out in Aug. I told the sales manager to design it dual mono with a stereo link. He said a lot of people are requesting that and they are trying to make it happen.
