What The Fuck????

Just got my MR-8 today and recorded a few fun multi-tracks.

I was somewhat taken aback by the USB port physical layout. What's up with THAT? That's a hub slot. What do I need to make this work?

It's a cool piece of equipment for 3 bills in any case.
Here's a sample:

I believe it's called a USB 'B' socket.
Most USB printers have the same one.

You'll need a USB cable like this:

It is a 'B' socket, you'll need a cable with two ends like this to hook it to the USB 'A' socket in your pc:

Hey - can't seem to download the tune. Any ideas? And yeah, the USB cable is a bummer. Circuit City has a nice one for about $30 that's good quality.

My Audigy uses that same USB type...

My external ZIP uses that same USB type...

My printer uses that same USB type...

My external CDR/W uses that same USB type...

My Card Reader uses that same USB type...

I'm confused as to the confusion

Wabbit: Yeah, that's what I thought - but it occurred to me that if drstawl had only ever seen a USB socket on a computer he might think there was only one type of USB plug/socket, so I thought I'd put him right gently by mentioning one common device: if he's having trouble with 'USB' your list will freak him altogether!!!
All this, even though he profaned.

Thanks for the insight. For some strange reason all of the USB devices (save my H/P printer)- and yea verily I have a bunch, use the other style.

Robbing the one from my printer temporarily worked just fine.

Doc, you can get them cheap. You might want to just go get a couple so that you don't forget to put it back on the printer....
