Steve Stevens & Billy Idol

They worked together back in Billy's early days and there's a great article/interview with Steve. In it he talks about studio recording technique, tech stuff, his guitars, amps, pedals, rigs, the difference between working in the studio and playing live, and so much more!

Great quotes like:

"all I had to think about was the classic Frank Zappa saying, "Shut up and play your guitar!"

"making the most out of the least amount of notes."

And recently somebody was asking about enhancers and what they do. Not that I endorse using them but I thought this explains them pretty well.

I have recorded Steve. He is an amazing player. His sound is really simple: Him playing a guitar into a Marshall cranked to 11. the rest is in his fingers. Boy is he loud!!!!!!
