aw dude...
Bloody engineer ruined my groove -
first-off, as you can plainly see , we're just using ribbon room mics and spots on the kick drums, secondly, maybe I MEANT to hit the snare mic as a special effect, I'm an ARTEEST you know......but now you've ruined it. Now we gotta start all over. So, either grab a pair of sticks or some hand percussion and get in on the groove, or sit back and enjoy. There's plenty of hard disc space so we really never need to cut during a track again. Got it? Besides, all the crap we don't keep we could easily sell to rap producers to use as sample loops. You see, Nothing wasted. OK, where were we? Oh yeah... |

ah, drummers. the only people who can accurately write what their instrument sounds like.
we have a joke in the wind band i play in, that theres a difference between percussionists (who are 'instrumentalists') and the drummer (who's just a drummer ). we always tease him, telling him "wow, that was a nice melody you played there, Tim" and "i bet you we're Well confused when you first saw a piano. i bet you got some sticks out and started smacking it!"sadly, this thread isn't helping to change this image ... (and i'm a trombonist. even a trombonist feels the right to take the piss... )Andy
