need help...

I`ve been offered a pair of active monitors, yamaha msp5.

I`ve read a thing or two about the new versions, but theese monitors are 4-6 years old according to the seller.

anyone used one of theese, are they the same monitors as the new ones.

would apreciate help very much as I`m about to buy them.

Apparently they're still a current model because they sell them here in the states.

Not owning a pair myself I can't give you a first hand review, but I can tell you that Yamaha makes quality products and their NS-10M's were the studio standard for many years. The MSP5's were given an 8 out of 10 on the web site that I saw them on -- for whatever that's worth.
