ADAT Error 5
I just installed a second-hand (maybe third- or fourth-) blackface ADAT and it produces Er-5 whenever the tape rolls. According to the manual this is a drum alignment issue. Could this have resulted from shipping, or is that unlikely?
The machine also won't format a tape. Gets to the "data" portion...and then the "play" light blinks, the entire machine freezes, and I have to power it down. Has anyone experienced these symptoms before? I got a good deal on the unit, obviously not so good if it turns out to be DOA... |
