I've had to send my VF-160 in for a service. The Master Volume keeps randomly cutting out (which means I can't record). It seems to return if I move the Fader up and down a bit, so I'm hoping it's just a loose connection.
I've also asked for the latest Firmware to be loaded on, so that's a good thing I guess.

Bad Luck. How old is it, and where did you send it. (and how much £?)
I trust this wasn't a result of drinking and recording (beer on the pots)? Hope you're reunited soon. Orc |

No beer, no nothing actually, I keep it covered when it's not in use.
I've sent it to SCV London, I think they're the main Fostex Support people in England. I think they charge £30 to diagnose it (which is taken off the repair price if I allow them to go ahead and fix it), then it's £35 / hour plus the cost of parts and postage back to me... I've also asked them to upgrade the firmware, I got it in April 2002 and it still has the original version...
