Buying the Korg 1600D Md II with a b2 microphone... right?

Im finally committing to the Korg because i keep hearing the same thing:
-Good sound, good price, easy to use, no need for a mouse, just good ol knobs and a touch screen.

If someone knows something that i dont let me know because we just spent an arm and a leg building the studio building itself and i dont want to put anything that overkill, something simple but most importantly good.

about the mic, what the hell should i get?

Rode, Studio Projects, AKG, Nady, CAD, Behringer, Samson, MXL, AudioTechnica, MAudio, Shure, Oktava and many others make budget mics that sound anywhere from very good to excellent. Try them all - or as many as you can - before you decide on one. Or more if you can afford it...

Yo KonRad-i-ation:

The mad scientist has it right. "TRY BEFORE YOU BUY." If you are in a location where you can visit and audition gear, that's the way to go. Because no matter what any of your group says, your "ears" bought the gear.

You can record what a client likes to hear--they are paying for that.

I always like to do three/four/six/eight mixes of a client's work, especially vocals, and let the client pick the one "that sounds great."

Then, in my Batcave, I like to do a couple of mixes I like and, at a later date, have the client stop in to listen, and offer an opinion. I usually sell another mix.

In my humble opinion, a good mix-person can make almost any client very happy. And, some friends of mine who are very good talents, have been very surpised by a re-mix from their original "paid for" tape or CD that I've massaged.
[With some decent reverb.]

Well, it's all in the game and the game is really fun.
