There are no "rules" concerning how you mix this, well except that you enjoy yourself!

Deadlines:

You must download the file by June 14.

Contest ends on June 15.

Judges, please submit your scores to me by June 30, I'll be travelling after July 4 so I wanna get results out before then.

We'll use Blue Bear's familiar seven category system, on a ten point scale for each category. Our decisions are final! Final score is based on average of three judges' scores for all categories. In the event of a tie, mix quality rating will break the tie.

In the damn unlikely event that there's still a tie, then the tied song with the greater dynamic range, defined as peak level minus RMS level, will be declared the tiebreaker

And if two songs are still tied after that, then the prize will be placed equidistantly between the contestants, and you can race/wrestle/fight for it!

I would like to do this just because it is really good practice, however, I don't really know the rules. You say there are no rules... but can one re-record, add, or subtract instruments? or is it strictly a mix contest. Sorry for my ignorance
