Auralex Foam Wedgies, temporary installation

I'm moving all my foam wedges from my old vocal area to a new closet area in my apartment. I don't want it to be permanent or mess up the walls so what is a good way of doing this but at the same time not worrying about them falling down while tracking? I am considering small nails...

Auralex has an adhesive that can be used on a temporary basis. If you use it sparingly, you can easily remove the foam later. It works for me.

Attach the foam to something else. Old Paneling, cardboard, wood, etc... then hang that like a picture or put it on stands.

Velcro, the thick adhesive stuff I use it in theatre.

How about foam board? It's pretty light and easy to move around.

I too have stuck mine to boards and hung them like a picture. This means that I can move them from the recording space to the control room for mixing later.

You beat me to it! This is what I used, and it was actually suggested by Auralex when I was planning my acoustic treatment in my then (rental) townhouse.

ok, what are the "T" pins and where can I find them? I just need something that won't peel the paint off the walls and the ceiling in my closet while tracking vocals.

I glued mine to some 1/8" MDF boards. You can find them just about anywahere, got mine from Home Depot for $1.50 for a 2x4ft piece. You can then attach them to the wall with a screw on each corner of the board.

HogansHiro will become famous soon enough
I helped a friend do a small studio in his rented apartment and we just used double sided tape in the top corner of each wedge. We knocked on off the other day during a spontaneous guitar lasso contest and it didn't leave any residue on the wall at all. But the big pins sound like a good idea too as long as the gazillion holes wasnt too obvious when it comes to move out time.

I think i'm either gonna go with T pins or nails, tape will more than likely tear the paint off the walls.
