Optical Transfer question
I've got a Sony MD deck with optical out, and a Sony CD burner with optical in and out in my office at the U. What kind of cable do I need to connect them, and where can I get one? Also, is the transfer with this type of connection in real time, or can it be done quicker?

It's called a TOSLINK cable. You can pick one up at Best Buy, Circuit City, music stores in general.

Thank you.
Do you know if the transfer rate is real time, or faster?

It's real time. Just select OPTICAL IN on the receiving end so it will clock, and treat everything like you would cassettes.
