Question

Hello All,
I'm considering purchasing a BR-8. This would be a huge
upgrade over my Tascam porta 05...something. However...

Here are a few questions:

1. What type of file does it write to the zip disc?
2. Is that file transferrable to a PC? (I have a zip drive
in my computer)
3. What does it take to get the information to a format that
can be transferred to a CD? Ex. MP3, .wav, CD player file
(whatever that is called..) Do I need Cakewalk or
some other conversion software.

Any info greatly appreciated,
Daveo

Thumbs up BR-8/Burn to CD

The BR-8 uses Roland software to record, I don't know what format it uses. I don't if the ZIP contents can stored, I don't have a ZIP drive. I record on my BR-8 and than mixdown to my computer's harddrive via it's SB Live soundcard. I have Adaptec's EZ CD creator software, this records the BR-8 output as a wave file, I than can burn a CD.
