question about dvd audio (ac3 encodeing)

i'm playing with dvd authoriseing and when i compress audio useing a-pack

Well, all dolby and dolby licensed ac3 encoders are going to degrade your audio in one way or another no matter what you do, it is indeed a lossy format . My only suggestion would be to use a calculator and use the highest kbps tranfer rate you can during encoding.

Happy encoding.
