Roland VS vs. new Tascam 788

hi all,

I heared the announcement of the new digital portastudio of tascam: 788. I was intending to by a used Roland VS-880 but now I'm not sure anymore...

What's your opinion?

I guess only someone who has "both Machines" can really answer these questions. I would go to the music shop where they sell them, and ask for a maximum of technical brochures. Ask them if they have sold any, and if you may contact one of purchasers, to ask about their findings. Do they provide a money back guaranthee?

Prices are good for both, still the possibility's may differ. Depending on what you want to do most, you can still decide. Don't rush such a purchase , to avoid regrets later on. I'm very pleased with my VS880EX, but I agree that the Tascam products are very tempting to. Good Luck.

I looked at the unit at the Tascam website and noticed they don't tell what the sampling rate is.
