is it just me or does Oasis, what's the story morning glory sound like wall of noise?

I'd really like to listen to this, but I can only put it on once every 5 years. WTF is up w/ this?

an album that really suprises me is the first garbage album
look at the talent (production) in that band

but it sounds like one big smear

uberman is on a distinguished road
OASIS the band...

sounds horrible. Bad,lame guitra solos that go on too long, songs that overstay their welcome, and mix wise, its like the mix is all hhigh end, harch guitar and bass abd drums are literally just friggin mud! The songs could have been great but needed a producer to say NO! and cut them down to size, and a mix that pulled the ego-guitar crap down to size as well-it could have been great stuff as it had alot of potential. That being said, when they changed bass and drummer on 'Standing on the Shoulders of Giants', the sound of that CD is 100x better, but still the too long drug out songs, the really really really really really amature lyrics. Again, after that, I was officially done with Oasis and have not listened to them since.

Every once in a while I pull out Morning Glory, and am surprised that I actually enjoy some of the songs on there. There's some well-written melodies in there. So they could've possibly been good, if they weren't so crappy.

Garbage, though, I had forgotten about them. I liked that album, but gave it a friend once upon a time. Wish I could hear it again.
