looking for a 2 channel compresor

hey I record roots music and got my chain almost figured out. It goes something like this.

vox<v67<dmp3<compressor channel 1<sound input on card
guitar<mxl603s<vtb1<compressor channel 2<sound in on card

If my thinking is correct their will only be one out on this two channel compressor that will plug into the sound card and set everything up. I need to record the vox and guitar at the same time but with different mics on different preamps through a single compressor into one input on a sound card.
Will it work and can you recomend me some compressors?

Hold up a minute, sounds like you want to have just one output, but a simple two channel compressor wont do that for you.

You'll need to mix the two signals together afterward with some sort of mixer.

But why don't you just take both into the sound card on separate channels? It's got to have at least stereo input (which may be just one jack, but with the proper cabling you can get the stereo jack on one end and two mono right/left jacks on the other end.) If you're going to be recording onto pc, you can mix it to taste on there.
