Help with final decision

Well, I've decided to get a Sonor Force set. The question is... which one?

Either 2003, 2005, 3003, or 3005. I want the drums to be somewhat warm, but as loud as possible. Im also a fan of large set ups (think 2 bass drums, one snare, and 6-9 toms), so I definetly want a lot, but at a moderate to lower price (meaning that 3005 might be too expensive $2,200 for an 11 piece set)...

To sum it all up, loud, somewhat warm, lots of toms, double bass (I prefer having 2 bass drums as oppose to one double pedal), and moderately priced. Any advice?

What kind of advice would you like? ...Get the set with all that crap. They're probably all maple anyway - they're all going to sound the same if it's the same wood (maple is most common) and same manufacturer. How long have you been playing drums? Do you seriously need all that junk?

BWWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Best thread ever!!!

Seriously, I hope your band mates like you. If not, they'll be smashing those 9 toms over your head. And have fun lugging all that shite around to gigs.

well, i actually like using my toms more than my snare... thats why i want so many, so I have a range of sounds. I find my current set (a 5 piece Titan) to be very restrictive... especially since all 3 toms sound like crap :-\.

I am buying a new 3005 in black sparkle , Cant wait, they are truly are amazing and beat pearl mapex etc anyday! Sonor make the best drums in the world.

I think you would be better getting 3005's then add drums on as you can afford them there just wicked quality.

I've been watching your progression in deciding which kit to buy. I must say as much research as you have done I'm sure you'll be happy with the kit you buy. I've been very impressed!

You didn't exhibit any loyalty to a particular brand, you asked smart questions and you were patient. You're a smart shopper! I hope you love the kit you end up with.

Which will be the 3005 BTW. (kidding)

Don't ever feel like someone has the right to chide you for having a big kit. I like having all possible voices available to express myself. If someone feels good with a 4 or 5 piece, let 'em. More power to 'em!! Sometimes I wish I still had two kicks instead of that damn double pedal. The two bass drums added a certain symitry to the kit that I liked.

Do what YOU want! Don't follow trends.

yea, I REALLY want the 3005. But the problem is, I havent been playing too long. The only reason I want a new set is because my old one is falling apart... But the drums are the only instruemnt I have ever played (ive also played the sax, bass clarinet, trombone, guitar) that I actually enjoy. Its empowering... Especially when your surrounded by your instrument... you have complete and total control. It will take 3 or 4 months to get the money for my set... In that time I will finally decide what I want. FOr now though, I want to set a goal of what to get, so I have an idea for how much money I will need... SO i guess I'm gonna reach for $1,100... I could probably get that in a summer if I work 2 jobs. Thanks for all your help... and i guess... In a few months, when if I have the set, and I get my abnd to get off their lazy asses and record soemthing... I will be posting a file, just to see what you people think. Anyways, thanks so much. I really appreciate your help.
