Drum exercise.
Ok, really dumb question, what is the best exercise(s) for a very beginner drummer to learn how to unlink his arm and his legs ?
Want to learn drums in my free time at the studio. thx ![]() |

Have you considered surgery as an alternative? Ha, just kidding...
I found books like Ted Reed's "Syncopation" to be very helpful for beginners. There are several different methods of building independence, but for me the best method was slowing things WAY down (like 40-60 bpm) and repeating each lesson over and over until I could play it without thinking about it. |
