Mixer Recs Needed

I was lucky to pick up a Tascam MS-16 for almost nothing, so I'm now looking to buy a decent sounding mixer. Has anyone tried out the new Mackie Onyx mixers? I've also heard good things about the older Soundtracs Topaz mixers. Basically, I'd like to spend less than 1K, either new or used. Thoughts, recommendations?

There's a board I had the opportunity to use quite a lot some years back. It's the Tascam M320B. I've never been able to get it out of my head, and it's on my list of things to buy down the road. I could name a few others but at this time it’s the Holy Grail.

Mackies are decent. A used Ghost would be very cool. Personally I picked up a Tascam M-3500 from a member here that I'm REAL happy with.

I recently got a Tascam M512. It is excellent. If you live in a big city, look around. I live in LA and got it for $100, including snakes. Dont bother trying to ship it though...
