Quadraverb controller

Hi guys! Just stubbled upon this site and looks like a winner. Anyway I own an old quadraverb used primarily at home changing patches with my fingers. Are there any foot controllers out there that I can access patches without pushing buttons? I'm not competant with MIDI but I understand this is an option as well. I recently purchased one of those Midiman USB interface kits (UNO) hoping to get started with MIDI but not sure if this is what I need as far as controlling a rack. Any tips would be appreciated.
