Q: What synth is used

in the song "Voices Carry" by 'Till Tuesday. Kind of similar to that used in a Rush song.

I know that this is a long shot... but please help!!

Ironically, Til Tuesday vocalist guests on Rush's "Time Stand Still"

Rush used Polyphonic Oberheim synths and Taurus pedals
www.savedbytechnology.com in Toronto is where Rush gets their gear.
Maybe they can help.

The song/album was released in 1985, I find it hard to believe they used a synth that only came out in late 1987 (Roland D-50).

I'm not sure what to make of the condescending attitude coming from ssscientist. I'm no keyboardist -- that should be apparent. I'm just looking for some helpful info regarding a nice, primitive (analog?) synth sound.

BTW, the Rush song I'm thinking of is "Subdivisions". When I listen to it, it sounds like an old modular analog synth, but I could be wrong. Thanks again

Did a Google search and most hits seemed to point towards an Oberheim OBX for Subdivisions. Possibly some Minimoog on leads. Yeah, that would be primitive analog I guess.
