Ironically, Til Tuesday vocalist guests on Rush's "Time Stand Still"
Rush used Polyphonic Oberheim synths and Taurus pedals www.savedbytechnology.com in Toronto is where Rush gets their gear. Maybe they can help. |

The song/album was released in 1985, I find it hard to believe they used a synth that only came out in late 1987 (Roland D-50).

I'm not sure what to make of the condescending attitude coming from ssscientist. I'm no keyboardist -- that should be apparent. I'm just looking for some helpful info regarding a nice, primitive (analog?) synth sound.
BTW, the Rush song I'm thinking of is "Subdivisions". When I listen to it, it sounds like an old modular analog synth, but I could be wrong. Thanks again ![]()

Did a Google search and most hits seemed to point towards an Oberheim OBX for Subdivisions. Possibly some Minimoog on leads. Yeah, that would be primitive analog I guess.
