JCM2000 DSL50 problem
Hello all-
I have a JCM2000 DSL 50 that I just bought used. After powering up, within the first 5 minutes of playing there is this weird staticy interference sounding noise that comes through the speakers. After it stops the amp is otherwise really great sounding. The tubes are in good condition and the tone is excellent. Does anyone know what the problem could be? P.S. I have heard similar interferences through my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

Do you have a cell phone sitting next to your amps when you're playing them?

Well since you have the problem in multiple amps, it's obviously not a problem with the amp itself. I know when I sit my cell phone too close to my tube amps it causes wierd interference. But interference can be caused by power lines, cell towers, radio towers, microwaves, or just sloppy power. More than likely if you hear it in more than one amp it's not something you're going to be able to fix.
