Ok, I have some sample graphics done for the first CD. This is a scratch run, so yes, there are errors and some things are still kinda ugly. (and backwards, oh no!)

What I'd like is for those of you on the CD to check this stuff out to get an idea for what I meant about "copyright info". I'm aware of several minor mistakes, but please let me know of ALL mistakes you find anyway...it'd really help me to get things right.

First let's check out the inside of the CD jacket (this image is shrunk way down from 300dpi to 72dpi and compressed, so it won't look that crisp):

http://www.imt.net/~blarson/inside.jpg

Next check out the outside of the jacket. The two frames kind of clash, but it looks good if you print it out, fold it, and stick it into a jewel case. (this image is also compressed and shrunken) Over the rake, we will hopefully have a few words of eternal wisdom from a suprise guest eternal wisdom word guy.

http://www.imt.net/~blarson/outside.jpg

Finally, check the back cover. This image is compressed but still at 300dpi (didn't scale well). Some of the wording will change at the top, so concentrate on the song list and such. Verify that I got your title right and your name right and your start date right...etc, etc.

http://www.imt.net/~blarson/back.jpg

Ok. So now I need a volunteer to print out all three images and assemble them in a jewel case, and tell me what you think...noting that the final prints will be done in color laser on good stock. What's that, you say you'll do it Emeric? Thanks man! And Ametth too! Man, you guys rock.

"Hey slack, the front side of the jacket is backwards!" Um, yeah, it's supposed to be...or something...just nevermind

Before you ask, the "thank you's" will be in the jacket of the second CD.

Also, I'm still waiting on "additional" info from most of you. Hurry the hell up.

contact info

Hey Slack, can you change my contact info to just read: "Ryan@37point5.com"? Didn't realize nobody else was gonna put their address down, plus that's not my address anymore anyway. So.... yeah.

By the way, let me be the first to say that EVERYTHING LOOKS AWESOME! Good job!

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that the link for the back cover doesn't work.

Ok, I printed it out, the dimensions are correct. Except the spine part needs to be a little wider so that it lines up correct on both ends.

Think it looks great assembled - I printed this off on an epson 440 in low res colour mode. Should look that much better on a laser with glossy paper (are you using glossy?

Thanks 37point5....I'll make a note and change your contact info!

Emeric, thanks for being a sport. I haven't printed anything on good paper yet. I'm going to get these printed up at kinkos or someplace where they have nice color laser printers and heavy stock.

In regards to the spine....the "outside" and "inside" are going to be on one sheet of paper (front and back). Would the spine be an issue if you were folding a single sheet? Or are you folding a single sheet? I printed the inside and outside on seperate sheets and taped them together because I didn't want to dirty up my printer. Could you explain exactly what you mean so I can fix it? Thanks man.

How did the back cover line up for you?

This is what I mean, the back cover

By spine, I mean the spine of the CD, the back.jpg goes underneath the plastic tray inside the cd right? where it says:

HOMERECORDING.COMP - VOLUME ONE DISC1

Needs to be a little wider so that the lettering lines up on both spines/edges.

Ok Emeric, I gotcha. I'll look into that. I know I had some trouble getting the back in because it's hard to fold flimsy paper just right. I'll see what I can do.

My info is correct.

Why is everyone so suddenly scared about addresses and phone numbers? I am not worried because it's not like any of you haven't been to my mom's house before...

Slack,
I must say that the job you are doing on this project is PHENOMENAL. Everything is awesome and you deserve some sort of award. Of course, S8-N's work and Ed and Emeric and everybody who is contributing deserve a round of thanks as well. Good job guys. Perhaps we all should get together and start a company. The creative minds that we have here could surely turn out a few millionaires.

Hugs & kisses,

Brad
