Karel Lootens is on a distinguished road
new yamaha keyboards

Hello,

I'm leaning towards the yamaha PSR 295 (299 EU) or DGX 205 (370 EU), the price difference is about 70 euros.

they do share the manual and as far as I've found out so far, save for the pitch bend and the 76 keys instead of 61 they are identical. Does anyone know if the samples on the DGX series are still better than the PSR's, they way it used to be?

I probably won't need the 76 keys for now, so 70 extra can buy me a more or less decent mic (2nd hand sm58) to sing along. but if it IS better... I might reconsider off course and borrow my girlfriend's E845

I've played the PSR-K1 and PSR 295 for a while (same sound as far as i can hear), but the music store I'm going to doesn't have the DGX205 in stock so I can't really compare myself.

thx

Karel

DGX is a step up from PSR (My opinion only) , though they share alot of the same samples. I believe the acoustic instruments will sound better off of the DGX. I have owned both. I had an old PSR-410 that I gave to my nephew when I got my DGX-505.

Cheers
