Cool Ketron Midjay

Hi,

I am thinking to buy the new Ketron MidJay. I just wonder if anyone has any experience with this machine. How is the sound quality? Ease of use? Realiablity? Functions?

I currently own a Yamaha Tyros, Yamaha Motif 6.
I used to own the korg pa80, Psr-2100 and Korg extreme.

I mainly play as a one man band.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Kevin

Are you planning to punt your two Yamahas in favor of this unit? This is a mighty locked proposition from what I can tell from the specs, and as such has a potential to get very old very fast...

You don't mention a computer, but I assume you have one since you post on HR --- it has a USB 1.1 port built in for interfacing, but doesn't say what kind of software or virtual interface it uses except to say that it has a monitor port. The specs also doesn't mention anything about ram, except to claim that it has a 'zero latency' audio engine.

If this machine floats your boat, then by all means get one. But it's a long shot to find anyone here who uses one, especially since they came on the market just a few months ago.
