better room mics?
Hi all,
I am using a pair of AKG 414's (LDCs) as room mics to record a simple folk band (in stereo, AB configuration), but am interested in what mic's might be better/more interesting. I tried Neumanns KM84's (SDC), but didnt like the results as much. I think I might stick with LDCs. Are there any suggestions for better room mics? |

you know, Ive worked a little with the neumann u87 and u47fet mics, primarily on vocals. I thought it might be unusual to use them a as room mics - does anyone do this?
