DP-O1 FX to computer

I'm having a problem with exporting my music to the computer. I use Windows XP and once I plug in the USB cable there is nothing showing up that says it is connected to the computer. When I click on My Computer there is no icon saying DP-01. There is only an icon telling you how to disconnect properly. I have tried this many times. I have gone thru all the proper steps to to export the song. I know the cable is not defective. Could it be the DP-O1?

Have you run the setup disk that came with the DP-01? Some things on XP are automatic, most are not...

Did you "open" the disk in the DP-01 Disk menu after attaching the USB cable to the PC? You need to do that after you connect (and "close" once you are done transferring). When I did that I had no problems connecting to my PC running XP.

There was no disk came with the recorder to run for setup.........and I went back and tried hooking up the cable before I opened the USB OPEN but still nothing showed up in "My Computer". It is very frustrating.

The people at the store that I bought it from hooked up another DP-O1 and Windows XP didn't recognize it on that one either so they are not sure what's going on.
