Question Xv5050 need help.. Please !

I just bought the xv5050 i have it set up with my mpc2000xl and my midi controller ..The problem im having now is that when i play a sequence with the 5050 and go search for a new sound it actually change's the sound i just played to the new sound Iwant to add.. how is this so ? I'm overlooking at a set up in my 5050 .. im not sure what ??? help thank you ..Sorry if it's not clear enough

You need to be in Performance mode, and you need to be sure to name and save the Performance you are working on. For selecting the next sound you won't have to name it but you will have to save it.

I tried and it worked, I also notice when I was changing parts in the 5050 and on my mpc I change the midi to the same part, I was not changing the tracks on my mpc ..lol. I appreciate you taking your time and helping me out ...

I'm not quite clear on what you're saying --- are you having a problem still or are you all set up for now?

You can stop the 5050 from sending Program Change commands - just look in the index of the manual under 'Program Change' and it will direct you to the right page inside the machine to switch them off...
