Hello,

I've been looking for an affordable second hand keyboard for a while now, and i've just ran across a yamaha keyboard. it's a DX6 if I recall correctly... oes anyone know of this board? I can't find anything on it... is it anything like the DX7?

any input would be very welcome.

Are you sure its not a DX5? I have never heard of a DX6.

ok, I think I found the problem, it could be a dx9, maybe I've misread the keyboard.

is it any good? there doesn't seem to be a cassette included with the voices, but I already downloaded the manual... would that be a problem if there were no external voice cassette?

it sells for 145 euros and I'm leaning towards buying it if it would be a good deal. I can only spend up to 200 euros.

Better off with DX7

The DX9 is the original 4-operator FM synth from Yamaha. It sounds like crap and didn't sell well. You would be better off finding a DX21,27 or 11 - they would all sound MUCH better than the DX9.
