WE ALL KNOW THAT THE BR8 IS COOL FOR A LOT OF REASONS, BUT WE ALSO KNOW THAT THERE ARE SOME THINGS WE'D LIKE CHANGED OR ADDED. ANYONE OUT THERE HEAR OF THE NEXT GENERATION OF THE BR8? JUST IN CASE ANYONE HAS AN EAR TO THE RAIL... ALSO, NOT SURE IF THIS IS NORMAL OR NOT: WHEN YOU PICK UP THE UNIT AND GENLTY TILT IT TO EITHER SIDE, DO YOU HEAR A SLIGHT SHIFTING OF SOMETHING INSIDE? MAYBE JUST PARANOID, BUT NEVER NOTICED BEFORE.

Circa33, I don't think you're paranoid at all. I've a BR-8 and don't hear anything slide when it's tilted. AS for a next generation? Haven't heard a thing, but wouldn't be suprised if it was in the works.

The next generation of the BR-8 may be the Roland VS-840GX. It has the same features as the BR-8 but with a 250 MB ZIP and 999 levels of undo. It looks like the other VS series. Roland has info on at it's site, http://www.rolandus.com.
