Quick Tascam 388 Question
...What's are the "access send" jacks for? Can these be used to output the signal from the tape instead of using the "tape out" jacks?
I just don't want to buy another snake if I don't need too ![]() |

388 "access send & recv" jacks
On the 388, these jacks are for sending the channel signal to an outboard effect, like a compressor or limiter, and receiving the effected sound back to the channel. Modern mixers label these as channel "inserts", with the send and receive signals on a stereo jack; the 388 uses 2 1/4" mono jacks per channel instead.
