Ways to live stream
I am a worship leader at a church and was wondering if anybody had some good ideas on streaming live. I used winamp shoutcast server a while back, but I figured some sort of better thing has come along in the last couple years.

Set up a massive radio singal transmitter (can be "borrowed" from any radio station, just wear gloves), blast it over to your house, then straight into shoutcast. It'll go down a treat.
j/k Seriously though, do you have a puter with shoutcast set up in your church or something? or whats the set-up you got to work with? - Idgeit

Windows media encoder is the easiest
You'll need to download Windows Media Encoder to your audio "server"
Then open a port on your router and forward it to the same port you open in WME. There is a template for broadcasting a live event. For the interactive route you could use Yahoo! messenger or PalTalk I've used all but pal talk http://www.almcommunity.org You can see how it works out on Sunday at two if you are interested. Bill |
