repairing dead keys on a keyboard

Hi- does anyone have experience with repairing dead keys on a alpha juno 2? is this something I could undertake or something best left for the pros? thanks for your opinions!

The key is dead as in the key won't pop up (like a dead spring)? or does the note not sound when pressed? does it apply to all of the notes even in higher octaves?

Probably just need to clean the contacts underneath. Easy just use a pencil eraser and mildly scrub the contacts. Not sure about the Alpha Juno-2, but if it uses rubberized contacts like the Korgs use, often rubbing the contact with your finger alone will be enough.

thanks for the replys. the key just doesnt sound the note when pressed. the spring works fine. I guess I will try cleaning the contact first, but if that doesnt fix it, does anyone have online links or resources where I could get instructions on replacing the contact? thanks!

If you need to replace the contact strip, here is a site:
http://www.vintageplanet.nl/content.html

There is no specific strip listed for the Juno 2, but many listed for other Juno's and this site lists the Roland part numbers (Which you can probably cross-reference with the numbers on yours). Chances are the contact strip was used in several other keyboards as well (manufacturers generally don't go far out of their way to redesign trivial components, everytime they design a new synth).
