I get a buzzing sound on my brand new Event 20/20Bas speakers. I even disconnected all of my audio and electricity cables, and still this annoying sound doesn't go away.
I put the speakers in another room, not in the neighborhood of any screens, computers, monitors, or a lot of wires and not connected to a mixer.....still no succes. Has anyone had this same problem, and does anyone know how I can solve it??? Another question: One speaker has got more glue in the center of its woofer than the other...(it is really a big difference). Is this normal? Does the factory just glue every speaker differently or did I get repaired speakers that went for new ones???(I should ask the shop owner this, and I will, but for now I want to hear it from you people) Thanx in advance, DJ BIZZ-E Antwerp, Belgium, Europe. |

I did some checking on the internet and found an article on some JBL Bi-amplified monitor speakers...The guy/girl(??) told a story that matched mine almost completely!!! He/She says that the problem is situated at the back of the speakers. The buzzing sound comes from the "TRANSFORMERS"...(= the thing where you connect your AC cable to...inside the speaker...).
I listened at the back of the speakers and indeed, the sound came from there...If anything, I am going to trade my monitors in for a pair of new ones... Anyone interested/who's got this problem, can read the article on this address...: http://www.sospubs.co.uk/sos/mar98/a...s/jbl6208.html Thanks for reading this and I hope I helped some other people out... PEACE OUT. DJ BIZZ-E The Hip Hop Junkie... (c) 2000. |
