Order to purchase equipment?
Well I'm interested in constructing a studio in the future, and figured I'd start getting the necessary devices I need to run it. My question is in what order should I buy the equipment? ...As of now I have studio monitors and mics. I know that I will probably eventually do everything analog with racks and all - all of which will then be fed into the computer (probably pro tools eventually). So where do I start? ...A nice analog mixer first (the behringer mx9000 is looking ideal)? Some vocal channels? Some computer hardware that will input all of my outputs from the rack into my software (whats the best way to do that - quality wise)?
I'd just like to start planning way in advance as to not waste time and money in the future. I'd really appreciate some insight!
