TASCAM 1508 Eight Channel Mixer ???

I have a tascam 1508 8/4 sub channel mixer that came with my TSR-8 Reel 2 Reel. I can't figure out how to pong more than one track down to one using this mixer. I have tried using the odd numbered tracks to the left and doing a direct out on the track I want ponged to...doesn't work. I have tried the same with the even tracks to the right? HELP! The manual is not helping.
