DJ7T is on a distinguished road
I'm using Sound Forge to restore some 4-track recordings I did on a friend's Tascam 424 (I think it was a 424). Anyway, the friend and the Tascam are long gone, and as I resample these digitally off a standard cassette deck, I'm trying to find out if there's some sort of dbx noise reduction plugin for Sound Forge or some other editor. The 424, of course, had dbx NR, and I of course had it on while recording :-).

The dbx NR seems to be a high-end-specific compressor, perhaps someone knows the numbers to do it with a comp/limiter function in a sound editor? Either way I'd really like to know how to rescue dbx recordings and make them sound as they should.

Thanks,
7t
