The UPS Thread
Any using an Un-interruptable Power Supply (UPS) in the studio?
Any reason to believe using one would introduce noise or other audio artifacts? |

My console is connected to a VR-equipped UPS and so is my DAW... definitely not causing any sort of noise issues here!

That's good to hear. I bought a 500 VA unit, just enough so I can save files and power down gracefully after a power hit.
BTW, what's the VR stand for? |

Voltage-regulated -- the basic ones (ones carried by Staples, Business Depot, etc...) don't have voltage regulation on them - only the same type of protection as you get from a power strip (except you also have the battery backup!)
