First of all, I am new to recording and just doing it for personal use. I have been plugging my guitar\mic into the single input of my soundcard and recording single tracks. I do not plan to do anything serious but just experimenting. I wanted to get a small inexpensive mixer and have narrowed my choice down to the Peavey PV6 (http://www.peavey.com/products/brows.../1/PV%AE+6.cfm) and Alto AMX-100 without digital effects (http://www.altoproaudio.com/html/mixers.php). I know these are bottom of the barrell models but that is what I want.
Could someone give me their opinion on each of these and why they would choose one over the other. Thanks for your anticipated help |
