New to Cubase/Digital Multi-tracking, need help!
I just upgraded my recording system recently. I purchased an M Audio Delta 1010 and Cubase SX 2. I installed both the Delta 1010 and Cubase with no problems. What I seem to be having problems with is assigning recording tracks in Cubase to specific inputs on the 1010. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you aren't seeing all of your inputs, you need to click on devices, then VST inputs and make sure the inputs you are looking for are active. In Cubase LE you can just use function key F5 so it might be the same in your version. I don't know if this is the exact problem you are having but I couldn't see all of my inputs until I did this.

Yup, inputs 1 & 2 should be active by default but the others need to be activated manually.

I'm at work right now, so I can't check to be sure, but I think I went into VST Inputs and enabled all of the Delta inputs. And then I wasn't getting any signal on ANY of the inputs. Should it be set to 8 mono? Sorry I can't be more specific at this time...

I got tired of having to activate the inputs so I created a template that has all 4 inputs of my Firebox active with the record buttons already enabled so I can just get right to it when I start a project. Once you get things working the way you want before you start tracking, save your settings as a template.

It might also be that you haven't assigned what inputs point to which tracks in the mixer. If you have the VST inputs set up correctly, you should be able to select which input you want to route to each given track. This can be done a few ways, but I always find it easiest using the mixer. The input/output settings are above the meter and volume fader on each track. When you click on the input one a list pops up which contains all the inputs you've set in the VST Connections.
You also need to have the monitoring button selected for each track, if you want to hear the input. It's a small orange button beside the recording on/off button.
