i just got a tascam 80-8(and the dbx noise suppressor) and a allen and heath system 8 2416 board. how do i hook it up?

Good Luck. I had the 80-8 w/dbx. I remember that it is not at all obvious how to hook up the DBX module. You have a record and a playback path through the DBX (I am assuming it is the DBX designed for the Tascam 80-8 with the automated switching). Try wiring one channel and de-bug it alone. When you can record and playback that one channel, then wire the rest the same way.
