Dp-01 And Noise!
Can someone tell me why I'm getting a humming noise if I turn the guitar up where I can here that it's amplified? I have the guitar plugged into the recorder......and I also get a sizzling noise. I just bought a 25 dollar cable hoping to get rid of these noises but apparently it's not working. When I hold the cable the noise stops......sometimes. But when I remove my hand it starts again! It seems like the noise comes and goes??? On some recordings I don't hear it and on others I do. Is it something I'm doing wrong concerning the volume or effects levels?

That sound like poor shielding in the guitar pickup. It's picking up hum from anything - your fridge, the overhead lights, etc. It's got nothing to do with the recorder. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding a position or location where the hum is minimized. Sometimes it's having to use a filter on your cable.

I have found that when I reach inside the guitar sound hole and touch the electronics the humming stops. What does that mean? Still have the sizzling or shishing noise when I touch the strings????

It means what I've already told you. Why not just buy a microphone and record your guitar that way?
