I only own one mic at the moment and i'm building some JLM preamps and need another mic to go with my AKG c451b. I've recorded my Lakewood acoustic guitar with the AKG and its produced reasonable results but nothing really exceptional, i.m hoping the new preamps when built will help this. I've found that the AKG seems to work quite well on my vocals(the sound man in my country band says i need lots of cut(tops) on my voice) so i guess i'm looking for quite a bright LDC mic. Any ideas? ADK Vienna????????????????

![]() In a lower price bracket, you could try some of the Rodes ... NTK or NT-1000. Studio Projects C-1 ... Audio Technica 4033. That kinda' thing. Some pretty bright mics on that list. Not particularly hard to find bright LDC's. |
