Hello,
I have a Tascam TD-1000 with a tascam da-38 recording unit which does a killer job. The only problem is that when I record the band I'm working with, if you play the final mixdown at low levels, it's not as clear as when the volume is turned up? What should I do? This may sound stupid, but am I supposed to be feeding the mixer into a power amp and then commit it to tape. Any help would be appreciated thanks dan [This message has been edited by voyage35 (edited 06-24-2000).] |

How close to the top of the scale are the output meters flashing when you play the mix?If they are too low,you aren't getting the bestout of the mixer's D/A converters, you are losing resolution. You may need to raise the levels on each track individually to accomplish this...Cheers!
